In Sefakoy, an Istanbul municipality, 2 ladies are sheltering 300 dogs under very basic circumstances. They have no funds just now and then they get help in a kind. In the forest-shelter of the SHKD there are normally living around 300 dogs. Stray dogs are brought in, neutered, medically treated and if possible returned to their own territory.  The dogs that are not suitable to be released, are being prepared for adoption if possible. Dogs that are not able to be re-homed because of age, personality or health  are welcome to stay in the shelter for as long as it takes and are being cared for. With more support it would be possible to help more dogs!
